Adler Realty Investments, Inc. (“Adler”) is pleased to announce the successful sales of two retail shopping centers — Bensalem in the northern suburbs of Philadelphia and Briarwood in the Chicago suburb of Algonquin, Illinois. Both transactions reflect Adler’s continued success in identifying value-add opportunities, stabilizing assets, and delivering strong results for investors.
Bensalem Shopping Center – Bensalem, Pennsylvania
Bensalem is a neighborhood grocery-anchored shopping center totaling approximately 63,000 square feet, prominently featuring ShopRite, CVS, and Verizon as key tenants. The property was acquired by Adler in July 2020 as part of a 1031 exchange. Through proactive asset management and maintaining a tenant mix focused on daily consumer needs, Adler ensured consistent performance throughout the hold period. On August 21st, Adler completed the sale of the property to a private investor, marking a successful disposition in a resilient retail submarket.
Briarwood Retail Center – Algonquin, Illinois
Located in the northwestern suburbs of Chicago, Briarwood is a 14,000-square-foot neighborhood service retail center that benefited from Adler’s leasing and management expertise. Upon acquisition, Adler enhanced the property’s tenant mix and stabilized occupancy by securing quality national and regional tenants including Dave’s Hot Chicken, T-Mobile, and Batteries Plus. Following these improvements and strong tenant performance, Adler sold the property in June 2025, achieving another positive outcome for investors.
